A unique concert of music from a time of exploration and inspiration, the eighties.

The complete set of Philip Glass’ Songs from ‘Liquid Days’ forms the backbone for this unusual concert. With keyboards of all descriptions including electric keyboard, harpsichord, and vibraphone, an ensemble supporting a sole singer is blended seamlessly into songs of mesmerizing wonder, and humour.

 Ann Carr-Boyd explores the colours and textures of keyboards and voice in ‘Couperin’; Diana Blom is inspired by Glass and offers ‘Orbiting’; Ross Edwards’ piano duo ‘A Flight of Sunbirds’ delights with nine colourful, perfect miniatures;  and Elena Kats-Chernin’s ‘Rain Puzzle’ does what it says.
