Two composers of note feature in this new CD devoted to this under-represented genre of piano four-hands.

A prolific composer in many genres, Ann Carr-Boyd’s contribution to that of the piano duo is one of her most significant. Covering many styles and degrees of difficulty, Carr-Boyd’s inventiveness never flags. From Outer Space (Look at the Stars) to prancing poodles (The ‘Percies’), her duets are engaging and full of character. So popular are the duets, that many have been commandeered for other forms and instruments, a transformation that the composer is only too happy to make.

Equal mastery can be heard in the hands of Diana Blom, whose Dream Weaving and Darley Road Walk complete the set with humour and zest.

Duo Mary&Me is delighted to present these gems of the piano keyboard in collaboration with the composers as the album A Walk in the Park.

The Album will be launched at the home of Janet Ninio 3  May at 3 pm
